New art installation

New art installation

Qatari artist Hana Al Saadi’s Proposal for a Public Sculpture exhibition, curated by Laura Barlow, has opened at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha, which has dedicated part of its space to emerging artists and curators.

Al Saadi’s exhibition takes the shape of the artist’s studio, featuring a library of working documents, books, recorded interviews, a display of working drawings, sculpture maquettes and a meeting place for conversations and debate.

The installation will evolve, and on completion of the project on Sunday May 13, Al Saadi will hold a public talk with Barlow to discuss the process of putting together the show, as well as the artist’s approach to creating the pieces.

Don’t miss it.
Free. Open Sat-Thu 9am-7pm; Fri 1.30pm-7pm. Until May 13. Education City,
