Sheikh Saoud Al Thani was one of Qatar’s greatest collectors, and you can see his impact at any one of the country’s fantastic museum collections.
And now the Museum of Islamic Art is paying tribute to his contributions with a new exhibition entitled A Falcon’s Eye: Tribute to Sheikh Saoud Al Thani.
The exhibition features more than 300 pieces, ranging from prehistoric fossils and Egyptian antiquities to Orientalist paintings and photographs, which the Qatari prince collected as he was fascinated with both natural history and the art world.
The exhibition will be on display until April 10, 2021, and will cost adults QR20, and residents and students QR10. Children under 16 can enjoy the exhibition for free.
