Things to do in Doha this July

Catch live football at the Fan Zone
The Qatar Fan Zone is now open to the public and our top reason for loving it is it’s free for everyone. The space is massive with a large screen, lots of seating, artificial grass and several local food and beverage kiosks. With only four years to go for Qatar to host the World Cup, this is the best time to get a taste of what the ambience will be like during FIFA 2022. There are two more fan zones in Hamad Airport and Katara.
Free. Until 15 July, 4pm-midnight. Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena, Al Sadd.

Spend a day at Angry Birds World

Escape the hot summer and flock to the world’s first Angry Birds World. There’s so much to try out from Blast Bomb, a drop and twist tower featuring free-fall motion, to Red Alert where visitors are hurled into an exhilarating spin.

Admire art installations

Qatar Museums’ public art installations by British artist Martin Creed and Qatari artist Ghada Al Khater are worth driving by to check out. Creed’s installation is entitled Everything is going to be alright as a bright LED piece. Al Khater’s installation is displayed in Arabic. It literally means “A blessing in disguise.”
