Catch the Qatar Championship Race, held on Friday, April 9 at 6.20pm, with a second race later on just after midnight. Each race consists of 15 laps, and will count towards the Qatar International Road Racing Championship that is organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF). There are seven rounds, and international riders take part on 1,000cc bikes. You can catch other bike classes during the weekend, including Moto2 and 125cc.

Ride it yourself
Losail International Circuit hosts track days at various times throughout the year, so you can take your own bike or car around it. There are sessions this month on April 2, 3, 16, 17, 23 and 24, with night-time sessions during May. See the website at www.circuitlosail.com for a full calendar. Sessions are usually 9.30am-12.30pm for bikes (QR400) and 1.30pm-4.30pm (QR500) for cars. Call 472 9151 for details on this and other events, or email info@circuitlosail.com.
