The decor at Tangia does its best to help transport diners to Morocco – think dimly-lit lamps and colourful knick-knacks including silver-spouted teapots. The fez-wearing staff are charming and there’s an authentic three-piece band. The food, however, is very hit and miss, with over-buttered couscous, better tagines, but disappointing desserts. It’s a shame the attention paid to making the decor authentic hasn’t been paid to the quality of the food. Still, it’s popular with people looking for a bit of ambiance.
