Doha’s food scene must be maturing if gourmet supplier Dean & Deluca deemed it worthy to open a branch here. But that’s what happened last month at Villaggio Mall, with shoppers now able to pick up high-end food and kitchenware sourced from around the globe at the new store and café. The first Dean & Deluca opened in Soho, New York in 1977, and quickly branched around the US before opening in Tokyo, Kuwait, Taipei and Dubai. The company also markets its own labeled products to other stores.
