Beijing Chinese Restaurant
Basic Chinese restaurant with good food and basic, kitsch decor Discuss this article
Stepping inside this kitsch restaurant you’ll receive a distinctly neon welcome before being shown to one of the dusty-looking tables. A luxury restaurant this is not, Beijing is clearly about the food and not the decor. And, sure enough, dishes are full of flavour: the special rice is delicately flavoured and makes a perfect accompaniment to the tangy sweet and sour dishes. Add a portion of chicken in oyster sauce, but beware that the servings are generous, and may not leave you much room for a simple, yet refreshing dessert of fruit or ice-cream.
