It appears that Doha’s most sour-faced, short-tempered waiters have been handpicked to serve at Layali. It’s a shame, as the food here is rather tasty. The fried kibbeh and the tabbouleh are ideal accompaniments to the tasty mixed grill, so if you’re prepared to brave the wrath of the waiters’ misplaced contempt, you won’t be disappointed by most of the fare on offer.
