Annexed at the back of the swanky InterContinental hotel, Paloma is an unassuming, relaxing eatery, not quite in keeping with its location. It is, however, a good place to get some very tasty Tex Mex food. Snacking at tortilla chips and salsa soon passes the time between courses, but don’t fill on them too much as the portions here, from potato skins, to chicken burritos, to chocolate fondant ‘volcanos’, are typically huge. It’s Tex Mex with frills, with a bar and live music – making it a great place to spend several hours.
