There’s a little piece of Paris at the Ramada Plaza in Doha, and you will find it at Bistro Bistro. The food won’t win any awards, but it’s a cosy setting for lunch with a charming decor of plantation shutters and floral curtains, along with some rather dubious paintings of the Eiffel tower. Thankfully, there’s nothing remotely stereotypically Parisian about the staff, who are exceedingly friendly. The French theme carries over to the menu, although somewhat half heartedly, with dishes such as dahl among the tuna nicoise, onion soup au gratin and selection of bagels.
