It’s not the most common thing in Doha, but for a few days only, W Doha Hotel, in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in Qatar and Spanish Extravaganza World Tour Festival, is hosting an exciting pop-up restaurant.

Some of Spain’s most notable chefs will prepare an extravagant culinary experience for connoisseurs until Sunday November 4. W Doha is flying in a two-star Michelin chef, two tapas gurus and one paella master from Spain exclusively for this fine dining experience. Throughout the four-day world tour, there will be a pop-up restaurant in an undisclosed location (super top secret), a paella feast at Market by Jean-Georges for lunch and dinner and a Spanish tapas fiesta dinner at Wahm.

Fun fact – Spanish cuisine bears a notable influence from its Arab past, in fact, its culinary staples are steeped in an exotic blend of Arabic and European flavours that pay ode to the rich Andalusian legacy and as part of this festival, the chefs will reinvent centuries-old flavours to offer a delectable range of meat, seafood and vegetarian varieties using the finest Spanish ingredients.

Chef Fernando Arellano will prepare a two-star Michelin dinner and serve it in the secret pop-up restaurant. Dinner will be served twice through the evening – from 7pm to 9pm and 9.30pm to 11.30pm. Additionally, a live Flamenco performance will keep the guests busy. Tapas gurus chefs Daniel López and Álvaro Fuentes will create an innovative and absolutely delicious selection of tapas. The fiesta will be held throughout the duration of the festival at Wahm from 5pm to 11.30pm with Spanish beats and a live Tapas station, prepared by the two tapas gurus. Try the special Mediterranean paella lunch and dinner with meat, seafood and vegetarian options at Market by Jean-Georges prepared by paella master chef Javier De Dios.

This tour has been making its way across the world from Singapore to India and is now finally in Qatar. It’s a super chance to experience Spanish culture and get a closer look at the dances, music and best of all, food. We suggest you mark your calendars and do not let this weekend pass without making a booking at this one-off experience.
