Best Business Lunch
Market by Jean-Georges - Winner

With lunch sized versions of their delectable dinner menu, the gangs all here—from the great salmon to that tomato soup poured right at the table. There’s a reason it’s packed every day at lunch: three courses for a reasonable price means its way more exciting than a sandwich at your desk. Pressed for time? Their cookie bag at the end means you can take those away for an afternoon snack.

Aroma - Highly Commended

They had us at the promise of getting us in and out in under an hour. They made sure we knew we’d made the right choice when they keep coming around with that fantastic bread basket (the brioche is a thing of yeasty beauty). The constantly changing menu includes items highlighted and chosen as healthy—meaning you can go to lunch with your coworkers and not break your diet, and even have dessert. Aroma, we salute you for offering a fruit salad topped with a scoop of sorbet.

Il Teatro
The granddaddy of the business lunch, this was one of the first to come to town and it’s stayed for good reason. It has set the standard and watches other restaurants try to top them. Three courses of great Italian, constantly changed, and a patio overlooking the gulf makes this a literal oasis in the business day.

La Maison Du Caviar
La Maison Du Caviar is all about fancy French food with a casual twist, so lunch is the perfect pairing. With great dishes, and phenomenal endings (do not skip dessert. Your waistline might thank you but your palette won’t), it’s a solid choice for a bit of funky class mid-day.

Wafi Gourmet
Deli done Lebanese style, there are takeaway offerings as well as an eat-in area. More importantly, they do individual sized portions of their yummy mezzas and salads, meaning we don’t have to stop at just one. Or have to share. Their chocolate dates are also yummy.

Why you are saying infamous singer for Asha's. Is there anything you know that others don't ;-).
And is Garvey's your budget pick open to all?

I'm surprised Khazana (by Sanjeev Kapoor) didn't make the list. I suppose their location isn't one you would just stumble upon, but I think it's quite unfair that they didn't make the list. They specialize in North/East Indian cuisine with a very large selection of kebabs as well as biryanis, breads and curries. I love going there both with my family and as well as with guests. Being from North India myself, I feel it is authentic and definitely worth the not-so-large amounts of money you'll be spending... in fact, it is, in my opinion, better than Asha's.

The garden in the winter months is spectacular and the indoor arrangement is quite peculiar but one can count on privacy if sitting indoors.

It's an international chain and several of their restaurants have won awards.

It's located at Souq Waqif (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=214078544554653579723.00048b1f38d060b899e52&msa=0)

I just really hope you hadn't known about this restaurant when you made this list because it's a real shame. They deserve recognition.

Your choices in Middle Eastern food are ... questionable. Perhaps you need someone with a more refined Middle Eastern palette :)
