Wednesday September 23
Jason Derulo

American singer Jason Derulo (top right) takes the stage on Dubai Music Week’s opening night to perform his hit tracks such as Want to Want Me, Trumpets and Wiggle. The 25-year-old has sold over 50 million singles worldwide, and is no stranger to the UAE, having performed at last year’s Formula One Beats on the Beach concert in Abu Dhabi.

Thursday September 24
Ellie Goulding

British pop star Ellie Goulding has sold over six million albums and 20 million singles worldwide since coming onto the scene in 2009. The 28-year-old provided the soundtrack to Hollywood flick, Fifty Shades of Grey with Love Me Like You Do and is known for hit singles Lights and Burn.

Friday September 25
Thirty Seconds to Mars

For anyone who isn’t familiar with Californian rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, it’s led by Oscar-winning star of Dallas Buyers Club, Jared Leto. Along with his brother Shannon Leto and guitarist Tomo Miličević, the group have achieved 85 music awards and sold more than five million albums.

The masterclasses

Blaze dance masterclasses
Beat boy dancer from Blaze the Show, Jessy Kemper, will show aspiring dancers how to tap, pop and lock while Kendra J Horsburgh will show off her contemporary skills. Jessy Kemper’s class from 1pm-2pm, while Kendra J Horsburgh’s class takes place 5pm-6pm. September 23-25.

CeCe Sammy
Aspiring singers and musicians can sign up for a masterclass with British vocal and performance coach CeCe Sammy (below). Often referred to as ‘The UK’s Vocal Whiz’, CeCe Sammy has been a coach for some of the biggest names in music, such as Diana Ross, Charlotte Church and Swedish House Mafia vocalist John Martin. Known for her TV appearances and behind-the-scenes contributions as vocal coach, advisor, and talent scout, Sammy has appeared on shows such as The X Factor, America’s Got Talent, The Voice UK and more.

Celebrity talk with THIRTY Seconds to Mars
Fans can get up close and personal with Thirty Seconds to Mars, who will screen their acclaimed documentary Artifact followed by a Q&A session with Jared Leto. “It’s about our struggles as a band, which includes being sued for US$30 million (Dhs110 million) by our record label EMI, battling them for a couple of years, fighting corruption and an unfair contract.”
