With Carnival and Mardi Gras sharing a month, Doha’s hottest venues splash out to make it feel like Rio or New Orleans (or as close as we can come in the desert). Crystal Club starts it off on Feb 10 with a special Carnival party with DJ Greg at the wheel, alongside world renowned percussionist Hush! from 11pm-2.30am. Keep it going into Mardi Gras at The Jazz Club with a jazzy party to celebrate Fat Tuesday, plus Mardi Gras themed food. No word on whether they’ll be flinging beads into the crowd, so we’re bringing our own, just in case. And newly revamped Rocca ends off the month with a Carnival party presented by Coco Latté. With Latin and salsa inspired house music by DJ Mark Bambach as well as live drums and samba percussion, this would be the time to wear your dancing shoes. Bright colours and trainers are welcome too, so you’ll be flashy and comfortable!
