Doha’s battle of the bands returns to the Qube for the sixth year in a row. The top nine bands in the city battle it out for the title of Best Band in Doha. The first heat has been and gone, with Encryption Band and Upstream Band taking the stage at the end of November. Dukedoms, Crossroads, and Rhythm of the Opposites duke it out in heat two on Dec 2, with The Dust and Psychic Samara going head to head in heat three on Dec 9. Heat four, between Project 206 and Knocknumbpooza take the stage on Dec 16, and then it’s on to the semi finals on Dec 23. Who will win this year and who will go home with nothing but broken guitar strings and shattered musical dreams? You’ll have to be in the audience to find out, and that’s pretty easy: tickets are QR80 including one sponsor beverage. It’s one of the best chances all year to see the best of the best of local live bands perform: not a DJ or drum machine amoung them, it’s all real, all the time, and they’re all from Doha. Could we have this all the time please?

The Clash 2011, Qube, Ramada Plaza, Dec 2-16, with the semi finals on Dec 23. QR80 including one sponsor beverage, strictly 21 plus. (4428 1428).
