The weather is cooling down and it’s time to take to the sand! Global DJs returns this month with another beachside festival. After the success of the Ministry of Sound World Tour in September, and last year’s Big Day Out, this one brings together DJs and performers to create a one of a kind show. On November 11 get ready to party with the best DJs in town.

Who’s who

Harco V
A native of the Netherlands, he’s got a reputation as an inventive and creative mind behind tech-trance electronic tunes. He’s created numerous leading-edge dance classics - ‘Godd’, ‘Indicator’, ‘Echnalava’, ‘More Than A Life Away’ & ‘Coma Aid’ numbered among them. He’s spent the last seven years on DJ Magazine’s Top 50.

Funkerman
Known to his postman as Ardie Van Beek, Funkerman is the DJ/Producer behind Flamingo Recordings. Taking his inspiration from pioneering US hip hop, classic soul, disco and funk, he’s got a sound all his own. He launched his first debut album this year, along with producing with artists in every genre from soul and hip hop to underground house and electro.

Miss Divine
We love a good girl DJ, and Miss Divine is one of the best, working her way through the music scene all the way to Defected In The House and Ushuaïa Beach’s Ibiza Resident. She’s got a loyal following thanks to her uplifting and energetic house sets, as well as her charity event La Vita. She recently became the first female DJ signed to Defected Artist Management and continues to become one of dance music’s most influential ladies.

Ian C
Not a DJ, he’s a maestro on the electronic drums. He comes complete with an electronic percussion kit but don’t let images of ’90s Casios dance in your head: he’s been recognised as a leader in his industry and is in high demand in clubs around the world. He is resident percussionist for legendary night We Love. . .Space in Ibiza (the only live musician on the team), session artist for Nightmares on Wax and is the only British member of Moscow based Ylotana Project.

Paul Mendez
An 18 year veteran of the EDM scene, he’s also a Doha veteran with his mix of house, trance and techno. He’s played over 200 cities in 55 countries on five continents, getting millions of people on the dance floor with his eclectic dance hits. He’s sure to shake the sand.

Jared McCulloch
Doha’s own resident maestro, Jared McCulloch regularly rocks the dance floor at 7 at La Cigale, but we’re sure he never misses an opportunity to hit the beach. Starting in Scotland as a clubber, he worked his way up to creator of Global DJs, bringing hit acts like David Guetta, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, and Paul Van Dyk to our shores before joining them onstage himself. With his mix of hits both new and old, it’s great to have some local talent on the stage!
