Irish Harp, Latino and Waterhole
The Sheraton goes all out, with not one, but three Halloween parties lined up this year, all very handily under the one roof. Start the night with dinner at a specially decorated Latino, with a churrasco dinner for two going to the winner of the costume contest and special ‘bloody’ themed drinks and snacks. From there, head over to the Waterhole for the Music Jam Band and DJ Cozzie, playing from 8.30pm-2am, with prizes once again for the best costumes. Entrance is free for ladies and couples, QR50 for guys. The Irish Harp gets into the action from 7pm, with the Chevala Duo, followed by DJ night, plus special decorations and a costume contest.

Jazz Club
Get down with Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Wednesday and Pugsley with a musical blast-from-the-television-past Addams Family Show! On Oct 31, see the best of the morbid family that stole our hearts with their creepy, creepy ways. Based on the popular television hit, this musical variety show brings the characters to life right around your table. The weird neighbours never were as fun! Extra points if you come as Cousin It.

Paloma & Lava
Paloma and Lava team up for the Big and Scary Halloween spectacular on Friday, Oct 28. Doors open between the two venues for a special Halloween ladies’ night. From 9pm in Paloma, the Big Mouth band takes the stage until DJ Shadi appears at 11.45pm. Over in Lava, Suzee X starts it off with house favourites at 9.30pm, before Paul Mendez performs at 11.45pm. The kicker? Unlimted free drinks for ladies from both bars from 10pm onwards, plus prizes for the best costume.

Pearl Lounge
DJ Joe Mitri is your scary master of ceremonies, mixing the best tunes in his haunted DJ booth. Decked out with skeletons, cobwebs and more pumpkins than we’ve seen outside a vegetable patch, it’s well worth the toil you’ve spent on your costume. Dig out your fanciest duds and get into the spooky spirit. Call for price info. Membership required, over 21 only.
Doha Marriott (4429 8888)
Qube
Qube gets into the spirit on Oct 31 with some spooktacular decorations and rabid encouragement for fancy dress. Dress to scare, dress to impress, or just dress to confuse (there needs to be at least one or two costumes that make us go ‘huh?’), but don’t forget your dancing shoes! The usual entrance fees apply, but on Halloween there is also a free spooky cocktail for all guests on arrival – we’re really hoping it involves eye of newt. Membership required, over 21 only.
Ramada Plaza Doha (4428 1428)
Wahm
Come trick or treating this year at Wahm, with a special night on Oct 31, all to the music of Karl Jefferson from 10pm-2am. Too late to start your night? No worries, it all kicks off with Bloody Mary from 5pm-8pm. Membership required, strictly 21 plus. The invite says to ‘dress in black or stay back’. Glad they told us.
