Tell us about the last time you…

….had a DJ’ig disaster.
The worst thing for me is to have a bug with my music software when I am in a middle of a mix in a club.

…felt really proud of yourself.
Well, I am happy that I got the chance to progress as fast as I have, mostly on the French stage, and that I got the opportunity to make a name for myself, but on the other hand I know I still have a lack of experience to become a famous DJ such as Deep Dish, Mr V or Danny Tennaglia. But I think I am on the right track.

…met somebody famous.
Nobody really, except from famous DJs I have had the chance to play with. Generally the celebrities stay in the VIP corners. I actually can’t see them from my cabin.

…feared for your life.
When I had an acute throat inflammation. I couldn’t speak anymore, and writing was my only way to communicate. But some great doctors helped me.

…saw something strange on the dancefloor.
Strange? No. It is actually wonderful because each dance floor is different, even the public is different. However, I won’t deny that it is always a real challenge to make those people dance for hours. We can’t forget that a DJ improves most of the time thanks to his public.

…went back home to France.
I’ll be leaving in a month to play for other promoters whom I am resident for. Moreover, I am creating new events in collaboration with my business partner Ludovic Desmond, Filip Ban who is a famous events coordinator, and RVB’s DJs (playing tecktonik). I am also playing every summer in different countries such as France, Bulgaria and Spain. I will be at lots of different places.

…made a track.
I signed for the publication of several tracks with two important English labels: New Era REC and Ambiosphere REC. Those labels belong to Tony Thomas, who is a famous English producer and DJ. These will be published soon hopefully. I also made a new remix for DJ Theo Moss, out soon on the Pacha Record label.

…were blown away by something.
By the terrible earthquake in Haiti.

…did something mischievous.
At the moment I am the new resident DJ for the Wahm lounge in W Hotel, Doha. You are not allowed to be mischievous there.

Karl Jefferson players Wahm at the W Hotel every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night from 9pm-1am. Call 453 5323 for details.
