Ronaldinho in Brazil’s Doha line-up
Legendary player will end 18-month absence in Qatar Discuss this article
As if one of the biggest rivalries in football isn’t enough to whet your appetite – with Argentina facing Brazil at the Khalifa International Stadium on November 17 – now there could be another reason to watch the game. Friendly matches are often criticised for not being taken seriously, with managers reluctant to involve their best players, but the game in Doha has a strong possibility of seeing Ronaldinho return to Brazil’s ranks. The AC Milan forward was part of Brazil’s World-Cup-winning side in 2002, but was not included in the squad for this year’s competition. Now that coach Mano Menezes has taken over, he is interested to see if the legend still has it, according to reports. If he has, the potential goal count could be huge.
