Those dancing penguins are back, this time with a new adventure that’s bigger and happier than ever—because it’s in 3D. There is absolutely nothing wrong with adults queuing up to see a child’s movie if it involves penguins.

Send them outside to play
The InterCon’s Kids’ Camp Under the Stars takes them for a wintery adventure, Doha style. Kids get fun activities around the camp fire for QR375, or QR700 for two kids including dinner, breakfast and a t-shirt. Mom and dad can get a break too with the special room package: QR1,200 gets a room for parents including breakfast and Junior a date with the sand. Registration and drop off at Fish Market beachfront at 3pm, pickup at 9am on Dec 9 at the Bay Club.

Let it snow
The Doha Community Orchestra performs the children’s classic ‘The Snowman’ by Howard Blake to help us forget it’s over 20 degrees outside. Featuring the classic ‘Walking in the Air’ along with QBS Radio’s Bernie Lyons as the Narrator, plus festive music from the Doha Community Wind Orchestra. Tickets are QR75 for adults, QR50 for kids under 16, available at the Ramada Hotel Reception.

Get some local couture
Meet and support Doha’s emerging young fashion designers at VCUQatar’s Trunk Show. Showcasing the work of over 20 students and alumni, items include fashion, jewellery, and so much more. Proceeds go to benefit the VCUQatar Scholarship fund. Open from 4pm-7pm.
