Break out the disco ball
DJ Mark Bambach starts his residency at Rocca with a funky bang, bringing a night of house with a distinctly disco twist. Where did we leave our flares, polyester shirts and afro combs? He’ll be doing it again every Thursday night after Sep 15.

Eat like it’s 1902
The Ramada Plaza Doha pays homage to one of the grandaddies of eating out: Chef Georges Auguste Escoffier. He came up with the idea of eating banquet style, over several courses apparently, and some of his dishes are considered classics – try them from today! We intend to raise a fork in his honour, preferably wearing a monocle.
Fri 16, Maxim, Ramada Plaza Doha. Call 4428 1555
