Newspapers & magazines
Newspapers and magazines (in several languages) are available in Qatar. The International Herald Tribune is printed in Doha and circulated with the Daily Star. Local papers are The Peninsula and Gulf Times in English; Al Sharq, Al Watan and Arrayyah in Arabic.

TV & radio
Major hotels offer international TV and radio programmes through the cable-vision service offered by Qtel, sometimes supplemented by additional satellite TV channels. The local Qatar TV has Arabic and English terrestrial channels, and an Arabic satellite channel. Qatar is also home to Al-Jazeera. Qatar Radio, also government-run, broadcasts in Arabic and English (97.5FM) from 6am- 1.15pm and 4pm-12.30am; the same frequency is used for French broadcasts between 1.15pm and 4pm. There is also an Urdu service.
