Set in the West Bay area, you can expect fine views of the Gulf and access to the hotel’s pristine beach, plus a short taxi ride over to Doha’s more prominent social establishments, from the Golf Club and Diplomatic Club to the luxurious Ritz-Carlton hotel. The westerly journey from the airport is a lengthy one, and the InterCon’s relatively tranquil location adds several minutes to any trip into town. However, a fine selection of restaurants and some of Doha’s better after-dark options will persuade most guests to stay on site. Rooms here are relatively expensive, but clean, spacious and furnished in contemporary schemes.
