The Marriott is located on the edge of the city and is close to the airport. The lobby is light and spacious in muted tones of creams, browns and beiges, belying the council-estate-style exterior of this beachside hotel. Stretches of psychedelic carpets may make you question what they slipped into your shisha, not to mention the rather bizarre mishmash of furnishings, but the funky old-fashioned lobby phones are a winner, and nothing detracts from the cool marble floors and warm affable service. In-house restaurants cater to a range of tastes, and there’s a heavenly spa with a Turkish bath, gym, tennis courts, swimming pool and a relatively secluded beach. Best of all are the bedrooms, reliably stocked with crisp, white-linened beds and comfortable mattresses. Hotel services Bar, beach, gymnasium, restaurants, salon, spa, swimming pool, watersports. Room services Internet, minibar, sat- ellite TV.
