I’ve always dreamed of being on my own island…
Fortunately, you can live this dream right here in Doha. The Ritz-Carlton Doha is a luxury resort located on its own private island in the West Bay Lagoon area. It is one of the few places in Doha where you will get to experience island life in a sophisticated setting.

That sounds fancy…
It is fancier than it sounds. They have over 370 guest rooms including four grand Amiri suites with city or sea views. These expansive living areas are decorated with the most luxurious elements around the room, right from the Italian marble in the bathroom to terry cloth bathrobes. As soon as you enter the hotel, you can’t miss the largest chandelier in the Middle East, adorned with 2,300 sparkling Swarovski crystals.

What else is there besides extravagant living areas?
There is so much here. Spend the day at the pool, take a fitness lesson, dine at their excellent restaurants, play sports like tennis and squash, or just relax with a massage.

A day at the pool! I like this place already.
Their outdoor pool is pretty plush and has some wonderful, ambient views of the tranquil Arabian Gulf. They have pool day passes too, so you don’t really have to book rooms and spend the whole weekend here.

Alright, I might consider it this weekend then.
You definitely should. Not only because they have a summer promotion that waives off 35 percent from the regular price, but also because they have an award-winning brunch. The Ritz-Carlton’s picnic brunch is fun for the whole family with picnic-style food served to your table in the Lagoon restaurant, made to look like an outdoor setup. Don’t miss out on their famous afternoon teas too.

Fun. What about the nightlife here, though?
They have Admiral’s in a building of its own. Listen to live music here, snack on tasty pub-style food and enjoy the views outside. La Mer Bistro is on the 23rd floor of The Ritz-Carlton and is a comfortable and casual yet elegant French spot. If you are looking for something more intimate and classy, try Habano’s.
