The best of Doha in 2012

This one has been around for a little longer, but we were really introduced to it during the Doha Tribeca Film Festival. Tucked at the end of Souq Waqif, it’s a surprisingly modern theater, with comfy seats and a steep enough seating incline that there really is no bad seat in the house! They’ve staged films there, as well as arts and cultural programs, dance performances, and even the Sesame Street gang when they brought their furry terror to town. We’re hoping 2013 will see them welcoming even more interesting performers and screenings to their stage—we have the space, let’s fill it Qatar!
