Forbes Magazine has released its annual list of the highest earning actresses in Hollywood. Who punched, kicked and pouted there way to number one spot with a family-friendly $30m?
10 Meryl Streep, $10m
Considering the fact that Streep has had 16 Oscar nominations, it is clear that she chooses jobs based on the quality of the role, rather than the wheelbarrows full of cash she is likely to receive in compensation. For such a prolific actress, this has been a quiet year, but she’s still glowing from the 2009 hits Julia & Julia and It’s Complicated. Later this year, she will team up with Mamma Mia director Phyllida Law to appear as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. Presumably, with fewer disco renditions, than their last collaboration.
