Directed by Daniel Espinosa and adapted from Tom Rob Smith’s bestselling novel of the same name, Child 44 is set in communist Russia in 1952. Tom Hardy stars as Leo Demidov, a secret police officer who investigates a string of child killings, but in a time when the crime does not officially exist. He gets demoted and is disgraced, but continues his search for the truth with the help of his wife, Raisa (Noomi Rapace).
