A weaker-than-average offering from a high-ranking cast, this harmless caper makes for undemanding watching. Quite why anyone would accept a script based around the attempts of three museum guards to save their favourite pieces from being sold to the Danes is perhaps beyond convincing explanation. Though Roger (Christopher Walken) Charles (Morgan Freeman) and George (William H Macy) are mere acquaintances at the beginning of the film, they come together to form an unlikely alliance in order to steal the works of art they have each become most attached to. The film missed out on a theatrical release overseas after the bankruptcy of its distributor, Yari Film Group, going straight to DVD, but will perhaps be just the ticket for cinema-goers who have exhausted all options this summer.
