A stylish and sophisticated nightspot, the Piano Bar is a private and cosy place for an evening drink. The dimly lit room feels surprisingly big, thanks in part to its arching ceiling, lit up by a spattering of twinkling lights. Underneath this faux night sky you can lounge on comfy chairs and order drinks and nibbles from the suited staff. Get there too late, however, and you’ll have to make do with grabbing a perch at the startlingly neon bar. This does mean, though, that you can fully appreciate the extent of the drinks on offer, and watch the Tom Cruise-esque attempts at mixing cocktails. The live music is played, not on the large grand piano, but rather on an electronic keyboard resting on top. But the it is very pleasant; a perfect backdrop to a sedate evening.
