A rt has the power to inform and inspire and an interesting exhibition opening this month does both, transferring the audience directly to the humanitarian front of a refugee camp in Lesbos, Greece.

LATRA Innovation Lab, a design studio inside the camp, has set up an innovative incubator that brings together an international network of social groups, enterprises, governments, NGOs and independent designers and innovators.

All of these entities jointly develop socially impactful solutions directly in the field. Some of them will present their work, share their best practises and seek new partnerships at The Gallery in VCUarts. The show also displays design outcomes of Core Relief: The 1st International Humanitarian Design Workshop that took place in Lesbos, Greece, in October 2016.

Reporting from the Field is curated by Aris Papadopoulos, founder of LATRA, and Maja Kinnemark, assistant professor in Interior Design at VCUarts Qatar. Time to go see.
Free. January 17 to February 24. VCUarts Qatar, Al Luqta Street, Education City (4402 0555).
