MIA Park bazaar

A modern version of the old souq tradition, you can browse and buy homemade and handmade products such as jewellery, arts, crafts, and clothing, as well as books and souvenirs. So if you are looking for interesting or unusual gifts, the bazaar offers a wealth of options for both young and old.

Music for winds

A free concert by members of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in the atrium of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), focusing on wind instruments. Enjoy the beautiful setting, a spectacular night-time view and let the enchanting chamber music captivate your imagination. It is free of charge, as well.

Diwani for women
Until April 27
Diwani is a style of calligraphy developed during the time of the early Ottomans. Developed for the the Ottoman Diwan, it was one of the secrets of the sultan’s palace and was used for writing royal decrees and other documents. Diwani calligraphy is known for its beauty and harmony on the page.

Ruq’ah script is the last calligraphy invented at the Ottoman court, reaching its height in the 19th century. The simple, clear style of Ruq’ah script makes it ideal for students starting Arabic calligraphy.
