The Golden Age, Paintings From the Riksmuseum

The first major exhibition of Dutch works ever presented in the Gulf – the 44 paintings are among the best in the Rijksmuseum’s collection, giving a wide-ranging view of the artists, lifestyle and topography of Holland in the 17th century. Contemporary Spanish artist Alfredo Palmero will be displaying his paintings in the Al Maha lounge this month. His influences are said to include Picasso and Velázquez, with harlequins and maids in waiting often featured in his works, often in surreal surroundings.
