Discover new artists

Head to VCUQatar’s gallery to see a unique exhibition by artists Tri Nur Effendy and Ismu Ismoyo. Covering mediums including fine art, stencil, and traditional batik techniques, the works are busy, vibrant, detailed and cover a range of intriguing subject matter. Two amazing wall-sized graffiti murals will also be on display – one of which will be created as a “live” mural during the opening of the event.

Mechanic: Resurrection hits screens

Catch Jason Statham on the big screen in the familiar role of a hardman assassin. He starts as Arthur Bishop, living a peaceful life having put his murderous past behind him, but that doesn’t last long when the love of his life, is kidnapped and he must cross time zones to find her. Zone out with a bucket of popcorn and watch the globetrotting action unfold.

Moombathon

A night dedicated to a new music genre that combines house, reggaeton, dub, hip-hop and electro with bass lines, ravey synths and even the odd rap sample.

Try a revamped brunch

Sharq Village & Spa has revamped their Friday brunch at Al Liwan with a spread of international and Middle Eastern fare.

See a dinner show

Illusion goes Latin every Wednesday with its dinner show. Dine on signature plates of fusion food and mixed beverages, while enjoying a spectacular performance involving a live band and show-stopping entertainment from the club’s resident perfomance artists and DJ.

Have an evening to yourselves and pack the kids off to Krush, The Westin’s new under-18 night. Held in the hotel’s Garden Villa, teens can dance and socialise over snacks, slushies and sweet treats while a DJ plays live music.

Filipino Food Fest

Kulinarya Qatar is back for its second year, with a three-day festival at The Westin. Fifteen Filipino restaurants from across the city will be participating, plus sign up for activities like glow Zumba, dance workshops, health and fitness activities, and watch events like Pasiklaban fruit-carving, the Little Miss Kulinarya Qatar finals, Junior Master Chef and more. There’s plenty to entertain smaller children, too, like the Batang Pinoy play area.

The laughter factory

One of the biggest events yet, featuring Tom Stade, Justin Moorhouse and Ian Coppinger.

There’s a new live music duo at Latino Steakhouse performing authentic Latin American tunes every evening.

Spend Eid at Banana Island

Surf’s up

Al Sufra at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski won our award for Best Middle Eastern restaurant at the 2016 Time Out Doha Restaurant Awards, and not least because of it’s fantastic selection of traditional meat and rice dishes. InterContinental Doha The City have launched a new Saturday brunch of traditional Gulf dishes featuring the vibrant spices and flavours of the region.

Jazz and dinner at The Club at The St Regis
