The biggest sports event of the year (sorry football fans) is on this August. More than 200 countries – including Qatar – will descend on Rio to compete at everything from athletics and handball to synchronised swimming. Will Usain Bolt overcome his hamstring injury and take home another gold medal? Will Mutaz Barshim scoop another medal for Qatar? Qatar will be competing in more than nine sports including running, swimming, shooting, judo and table tennis. Catch the action at Admiral’s Club where there’s also a daily happy hour from 5pm-7pm.
The Olympics will be screening Aug 5-21. Admiral’s Club, The Ritz-Carlton Doha, West Bay Lagoon (4484 8000).
