The funky British reggae group, live
ASWAD have been around since the ’70s, when they began making roots reggae music. They made it to number one in the UK with Don’t Turn Around in 1988. Whether you’re familiar with their music, or have never heard of them before, the retro reggae group are guaranteed to put on a good show with their chilled-out retro reggae beats.

Back to the ’90s
It doesn’t matter how much you brag about being a die-hard fan of The Strokes, we all know that sometimes you just need to sing along to Abba and dance to Can’t Feel My Face. The new Thursday night at Dunes, D-Pop, is a “musical journey” through some of the best pop hits over the years, from Michael Jackson to the Backstreet Boys, all the way up to Taylor Swift, brought to you by DJ Santiago Vittorelli and live band Slick.
Free for ladies; QR100 for gents after 10pm, with a beverage. Every Thursday 8pm-2am. Dunes, Grand Hyatt Doha (4448 1280).

Café del Mar
Café del Mar is coming back to the Doha Marriott for round two. The night began in Ibiza back in 1980, with the simple promise of chill-out tunes at sunset. It's no different here in Doha, where you can enjoy a glass of bubbles and watch the sun go down, while enjoying music from iconic local and international talent.
QR150 (early bird tickets), QR200 (on the door), QR3,000 (VIP Cabana for six with two bottles of beverage and snacks). April 8, 4pm-1am. Doha Marriott, Ras Abu Abboud Street. For tickets, visit

Cirque le Noir

The sell-out world tour circus will be in Doha for the first time this April. Expect comedians, acrobats and musicians aplenty, plus stunts performed 30ft in the air and the showstopping act: the 360° custom-built Columbian Wheel of Death. Largely considered to be one of the most risky and complex circus stunts in the world, it involves acrobats performing inside a rotating pair of spinning wheels high above the stage. Seriously.
Tickets from QR145. April 7-9. Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, Education City (4033 1111). For tickets, visit
