Watch Klitschko fight with Fury
Wladimir Klitschko, arguably the greatest heavyweight boxer in history, has held the world title for nearly a decade. He’s agreed to fight the brash and outspoken Mancunian Tsyon Fury, who has never lost a professional fight in his career. Pundits predict a Klitschko victory, but perhaps it isn’t going to be a swan song for the Ukrainian legend. Fight time to be determined.

Enjoy a Turkish festival
As part of the Qatar Turkey Year of Culture, there will be a four-day festival to celebrate the rich and varied cultures of the country, with plenty of special stalls, shows and events to keep you entertained. Musicians, dancers, workshops, numerous exhibitions and plenty of Turkish cuisine should make this an event not to be missed.

Try the new Hed Kandi evenings
Hed Kandi is a well-known dusk til dawn disco event founded in London that has recently found its way to Doha’s shores. With awesome DJ sets and spectacular and creative productions, this is one of the go-to spots for a great night out. It’s on from 9pm-2am.
QR150 entry. Strata, InterContinental Doha The City, West Bay (4105 8888).

See the Rugby World Cup final
Will New Zealand be in the final and have the chance to retain the Rugby World Cup it won as the host nation in 2011? Or will some of the other Southern Hemisphere nations spoil the party? Or perhaps it could be host nation England that has the chance to win the World Cup it last won back in 2003? Time will tell, but the best place to watch it is in the rugby tent at the InterContinental. As well as English commentary, there’s also bar food dishes and refreshments available.
Kick off 7pm. InterContinental Doha, West Bay Lagoon (4484 4444).

Get your spook on for Halloween
A few hotels are getting into a ghoulish spirit and encouraging you to come looking freaky and enjoying chilling terrors as the night unfolds. Once again, our favourite is at the InterContinental, where scary attire is allowed. Ray Parker Jr. will also be attending (not really), but it will be a great night of fun anyway.
