The Corridor
Ongoing until August 31
There is an exciting and new art exhibition with regional artists’ work on show at the Grand Hyatt, named The Corridor. There is an eclectic range of art to look at and for sale, including pictures of exploding pomegranates, portraits, koi carps, camels, landmarks and many more. 19 artists from 17 different countries show the varying styles and influences of the exhibition.

A special suhoor

Ongoing until end of Ramadan
IDAM by Alain Ducasse has created something special for suhoor. The restaurant, located in the Museum of Islamic Art, is allowing us to indulge in an Arabian and international feast. A large mezze selection (including snails), a choice of soups, the signature cookpot to share and chicken or hammour for main course are just some of the dishes on offer. There are also Arabic and international desserts.

Ramadan family workshop
July 3
Children aged 4-15 can enjoy traditional Arabic music and have a hands-on approach, getting into the spirit of Ramadan. All nationalities are very welcome as you can learn more about the Holy Month traditions.

Put on your dancing shoes

With more free time during Ramadan, it could be time to try something different. And Bulgarian Folk Dance classes could be just your thing, headed up by Velislava Metodieva. Quite what to expect we are not sure, but it sounds like good fun. Non-members QR65 for one class, QR400 for eight classes. Every Tuesday & Saturday 7pm-8pm.

Summer breeze
Throughout July
An energising and refreshing treatment, starting with a foot ritual followed by Jojoba body polish and sun soothing facial that prepares your skin for the rays of the sun. It is QR1,325, lasting 150 minutes and available from 9am-9pm. Go on, treat yourself in your spare time.
