Art exhibition
June 2
Work from some of Qatar’s brightest up-and-coming student artists will be on display at the annual Doha College Arts Exhibition, featuring fashion and textile design, photography, 3D products, video, painting, sketching, sculptures and more. It is on from 5pm-7pm.

June 4
Adrian Claudiu Sîna, the man that now comprises the band Akcent, is playing at the Ritz Carlton for one evening only. Known for his cheesy dance pop, he has hits such as That’s My Name, Kylie and My Passion. Other acts include DJ Karen Neumann, DJ Mr D, DJ Trinity and DJ Khizer.

A musical joke
June 4
Enjoy the view and the music at the MIA as the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will play classical music from 6pm-7pm. It is free entry. And this month the orchestra will be playing two of the big guns – Beethoven and Mozart. The QPO will be playing the Septet in E Flat Major by Beethoven and A Musical Joke K522 by Mozart, with myth stating it was Mozart’s intention to parody the classical styles of his contemporaries. The musicians comprise of Dmitri Torchinsky and Julia Korodi on violin, Giovanni Pasini on viola, cellist Olivia Farkas, Veronika Papai on double bass, clarinettist Rony Moser, Yoshiko Koyama on bassoon and Peter Davida on the horn.

Enjoy the OsQars
June 5
It’s the era of super stars Zsa Zsa Gabor, Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart and Carey Grant with an up to date twist. Dancing, dinner and a full swing band will make it an evening to remember. Tickets can be bought as tables of 10 or individually. Proceeds go to good causes.

From Broadway to Doha
June 5
The From Broadway to Doha concert by the Doha Singers will feature hits from all your favourite musicals. So expect some Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Wicked and many more.
