Annie
There are numerous performances of the stage musical Annie at the Doha British School Theatre. With songs such as Tomorrow and It’s a Hard Knock Life, we reckon you may not be able to help yourself breaking into song, if you’re into this kind of thing. Tickets are available from The One stores at Villaggio and Landmark.
March 11-15. Performances 11 March 7.30pm, 13, 14, 15 7.30pm, 14, 15 2.30pm, Doha British School Theatre, Salwa Road South (4450 2257).

Macbeth
We predict double, double, toil and trouble as the “Scottish Play” comes to Doha. The performances will take place on March 12, 13, 14, 17 and 19, performed by the Doha Players. Full of murder, deceit and Jacobean tragedy, this is one of Shakespeare’s finest works and should be a cracker. Black Box Theatre, Student Centre, Hamad bin Khalifa University, Education City.
March 12-19. For ticketing advice and more information, visit thedohaplayers.com. For general enquiries, ring (4447 4911).

St Patrick’s fun
Celebrate all things Irish for six days straight with live entertainment with well-known Irish band Shamrog returning to Doha for St. Patrick’s week at Champions. That’s not all; look forward to Irish food, plenty of dark refreshments and shamrocks galore.
March 12-17. The bar is open from 5pm-1am. Visit our music and nightlife interview with the fiddler of Shamrog. Champions, Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel, West Bay (4419 6100).

Michael Buble and Drake in Dubai
Two massive musical acts are playing at Dubai International Stadium. First, on March 12 & 13, Michael Bublé will be performing all of his hits and then fellow Canadian artist Drake will perform on March 14. These two acts could well make it worth a trip over for a couple of days. Tickets can be purchased from Time Out Tickets at itp.net/tickets.
March 12-14. Dubai International (Cricket) Stadium, Shikh Mohammed bIn Zayed Road, Dubai Sports City (+971 4425 1111).

Grieg and Sibelius
The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra is performing for one night only at the QNCC, playing Suite Number One from Peer Gynt from Grieg, as well as his piano concerto in A Minor, and Symphony Number Two in D Major from Sibelius. This is a great way to have a cultured and relaxed evening with some of the greatest pieces of classical music of all time, performed by the professionals. (Yes, In the Hall of the Mountain King will be played).
March 12-14. Qatar National Convention Center, Al Gharafa (3340 5808).
