Party like Bugs Bunny
The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra presents Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, conducted by Nader Abbassi, with Friedemann Winklhofer on the organ. Many people know this tune best as the soundtrack to many a Bugs Bunny battle, but it’s actually a complex classical piece that sometimes involves cannons. Will the orchestra take it outside and fire cannons across the water at the critical junction? We can only hope. Show starts 7.30pm, with tickets from QR75-QR300 at Virgin Megastore.
Sat 25, Opera House, Katara

Prove you’re clever
Bring your team of six to Doha’s monthly battle of the brains to compete for great prizes. With no entry fee, the only thing you have to lose is your pride. Who will win the title of King Of All Knowledge? Quiz starts at 8pm.
